Sarathi Socio-Cultural Trust is an association of like minded, cosmopolitan, and enthusiastic people who have come together with a vision to create a forum for organizing and enjoying cultural functions centering around some major festivals.
Sarathi is registered as a non-profit public charitable Trust since 2006. We run Sarathi according to the letter and spirit of the principles as laid out in the deed of incorporation, have our accounts audited annually by an external auditor, and regularly file our annual Income Tax returns.
The administration of Sarathi is done by the Board of Trustees, which is the body of members who have volunteered to take up the responsibilities of various activities. The Board of Trustees are elected every year by all members during the Annual General Meeting. The Board then elects the Chairman from within itself, and the Chairman subsequently appoints the Secretary & Treasurer from among the board members.
All the events and activities organized by Sarathi Socio-Cultural Trust are open to all. You do not have to become a member of our organization to enjoy any of our programs. Everyone is welcome to come with his/her family and friends and participate in all of our events. Still, if you are interested to share our responsibilities, you are welcome to become a member.
We try to organize each and every event very professionally, and in the best possible manner. We also render some financial support to the NGO Seva-in-Action, which has been working relentlessly for the education and empowerment of disabled people. All of these cost money. Even though we raise a large amount of money through corporate sponsorships, financial help from individuals is always welcome and much appreciated.
